PA Companies Enjoy Success in Chile

Eight PA companies traveled to Santiago, Chile to exhibit and experience the business culture first hand at Expomin 2014, Latin America's largest mining exhibition.  With 2,500 exhibitor and approximately 60,000 visitors, it was a long, busy week  for the companies who traveled over the Easter Holiday to exhibit April 21-25 in the State of Pennsylvania booth.  SAP&DC and Southwest Planning Commission (SPC) in conjunction with the State of PA organized the State of PA booth to provide companies the opportunity to exhibit.  SAP&DC and SPC took care of all the details in the booth for the companies while the TradeChile office, Sebastian Tobar and Jose Delgado, did an excellent job  arranging for industry contacts, pre-arranged one-on-one meetings, pre-market research and in-country logistics, companies were able to focus on  their success in the market.

Eight companies filled the booth, three companies reigned  from the SAP&DC region CAB, Curry Supply and New Pig.  Two companies from SPC region Megator-Pumps 2000 America and Specialty Tires of America along with three additional companies Acker Drill from the NorthEast and DFT Inc and American Cable from the Greater Philadelphia area.

The booth was in a prime location within the US Pavilion as companies had center stage for the ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chilean Ambassador, Michael Hammer.  Companies also met Chile's Mining Minister, Aurora Williams and the US Commercial Service provided a Chilean mining market briefing for the companies prior to the show and stopped by to meet with the companies as well.

Reported results from the show look promising with estimated sales of approximately $2M dollars, 194 trade leads, 9 agreements under consideration and 1 new distributor signed.

One company has already provided their success in just a little over a week after returning;  CAB has reported that they signed a new distributor and they have already placed their first order.  "We plan to nurture this new relationship to bring increased awareness of our product line to the Chilean mining industry". Said Patrick Krumenacker, CAB Sales Rep. CAB also reported 40 leads from participation in the show.  CAB Products manufactures a wide variety of cable hangers designed to support all types of  fiber optic, communication, control and electrical cables in above and below ground applications.

SAP&DC will be gearing up to organize Bauma 2016 Mining & Construction Show to be held in Munich Germany in April 2016
